Two new Firefighters have joined the ranks of the Prince Rupert Fire Rescue Department, with the PRFD introducing Ezra Paddock and Mike Kruger to the crews that staff the First Avenue Fire Hall.
The recent surge in new positions comes with a number of past retirements or departures.
Still to be announced is a replacement for Deputy Chief Chad Cooper, who recently took up new duties as the Chief of the Terrace Department.
The deadline for applications for the Deputy Chief post was June 8th.
As for the current roster of fire fighters, they continue to work on their skills, making good use of the now closed townhomes on McKay for a range of fire fighting scenarios as part of their training.
