Like all of us, the City is looking for a good mechanic

Keeping the city's fleet of vehicles on the road is the focus

If you think you're having challenges finding a mechanic for the family vehicle, imagine having a fleet of vehicles requiring some mechanical work, that's the focus for the latest Job Opportunity for the City of Prince Rupert which posted a new career opportunity to their jobs listings this week.

The posting is for a Mechanic for the Operations Department, a full time opportunity as part of CUPE Local 105 and a chance to join a collaborative team.

The full list of what you will do and what is required to apply for the job can be found here

Not mentioned in the prospectus for the job posting is the soon to come move to the new Civic Operations facility on Saskatoon Avenue, a place somewhat familiar when it comes to repairs for vehicles.

The deadline for applications is July 31st.

The full listing of positions with the City of Prince Rupert currently available can be reviewed here.

  1. May I ask why only jobs at the City are posted here? It would really help a lot of us out if you also posted the higher paying port complex job please and thanks! (Since they pay an annual bonus unlike the city)
