The Ruby Princess did not skip its scheduled port call in Prince Rupert as part of its abbreviated sailing schedule this week |
The Ruby Princess made her Thursday Port Call in Prince Rupert, the vessel which has been in the news of late following a hard landing in port in San Francisco last week featured her good side for shore watchers on the Prince Rupert waterfront.
With the only visible note of her incident last week available to those by boat, or those withreally really sharp eyes with the right angle.
The vessel left San Francisco a few days behind schedule a Sunday afternoon departure meaning a shorter cruise with Ketchikan the Alaskan port call of note, with further travel north to Juneau not made this tine around.
A chat with a few of the 2,677 visitors aboard the vessel for this sailing found that missing out on the glaciers of northern Alaska was a disappointment for those that did take the cruise (579 chose to accept a refund and sail again in the future) but those who the NCR spoke with said that Princess Lines had treated them well to make up for the inconvenience and that they were enjoying their visit to the city.
As we outlined last week: Guests had the option to cancel their cruise with a 100% refund, and also receive a 50% credit for a future trip. Passengers who chose to continue their trip on the Ruby Princess will receive a 75% refund, and a 75% credit for a future voyage.
Those that came off the vessel in Prince Rupert were off to explore in all directions many taking advantage of the Olde Time Trolley excursions on the day.
The next Cruise Ship Port call comes up on Monday, July 17 with eat Carnival Miracle arrives.
