Insignia Port Visit sends guests ashore to explore Prince Rupert and area

The Oceania Cruise Line's Insignia is the visiting vessel at the
Prince Rupert Cruise Terminal today

Oceania Cruises vessel Insignia pulled into Prince Rupert's Cruise Terminal  with an early morning start to their Friday stopover, the luxury cruise ship hosting a somewhat smaller contingent of potential visitors at just 670 from the larger vessels we see.

The guests set to take a break from all that the Oceania experience has to offer on board for a bit of shore time.

The Oceania Cruise is called the Last Frontier, taking in many Alaskan ports as the focal point for the journey, with Prince Rupert just one pit stop on the way to Glaciers and fjords of the neighbours to the north.

The stopover one that has had visitors spreading out around the area to pack in as much as they can, before departure time at 7 PM when the Insignia head off into the setting sun of the North Pacific.

We next see the Insignia in port on July 29

Today's visit made for a more relaxed pace that recent visits and it serves as the calm before what will be a very busy Cruise DayTuesday next week, that is when Three Cruise vessels make a call to Prince Rupert as the heart of the North Coast Cruise season takes hold.

July 11th brings Star Breeze (312 guests) , Seabourn Odyssey (458 guests) and Regatta (670 guests) all to Prince Rupert
