Senior Boys Rainmakers ranked at Number 8 Provincially as Zones approach next weekend

The Charles Hays Senior Boys Rainmakers moved up in the Provincial AAA rankings this week, with the Vancouver Province's weekly feature pushing the Makers back towards the middle of the pack, with Mel and Ryan Bishop's squad claiming eighth place for the week just reviewed.

The popular weekly feature in the Vancouver paper is a popular thing for North Coast basketball fans who have watched as the Rainmakers success ebbed and flowed through the winter, with the team clearly heading back in the right direction at just the right time.

The Rainmakers actually jumped over three teams on their way up this week, finding some familiar names from past provincial tournaments among the top ten, with Charles Hays joining Prince George's Duchess Park Condors as the only two representatives from Northern BC in the weekly rankings.

The return to the Top Ten comes as the team continues to prepare for next weekend's regional showdown as the Rainmakers make ready to head off to Terrace for the Northwest Zones.

Charles Hays heads into next weeks tournament with one of their main weapons back in the line up, with Justin McChesney expected to help lead the Rainamaker attack as they work their way through next weekends finals.

The regional tournament brings an end to another busy season for the Senior Boy's who made a number of treks down to the hotbed of basketball in Vancouver this year, making for some strong tests to go along with their travels across the Northwest since the season launched in December.

There is of course one more road trip that the team has in mind, the Provincial Finals in Langley from March 9 to 12.

One week from today the Rainmakers will put all their focus on that goal, as they look to claim another banner for the Charles Hays Gym and make some travel plans for next month.
