City of Prince Rupert extends deadline for Discounts for Utility bill payments



The City of Prince Rupert has extended by a month the period of time that residents can have to take advantage of the 10 percent discount on Utility Bills, with the new deadline now set at April 30th.

The City notes in their advisory that they have made the decision owing to the recent advisories issued over COVID-19 and to reduce the amount of traffic that passes through the City Hall Customer Service Office.



They also state that this extension is for this year only and that there will be no extension to the deadline for property taxes.

The latter announcement already having generated some conversation on the City's Social Media presence.
