The Charles Hays Senior Boys Rainmakers make their way to Langley this week, ready to defend their AA Championship with their first match up set for Wednesday Evening at the Langley Events Centre.
The Makers' got word of who they will take on during a Sunday Showcase Preview of the upcoming tournament streamed live from the Langley Events Centre.
With Charles Hays destined for a date with Samuel Robertson Technical from Maple Ridge in the 7:45 PM ice breaker on Wednesday.
The Draw for this weeks Tournament was made Sunday afternoon, with teams across British Columbia tuned into the BC High School Basketball website for the previews and observations for all four levels of BC Ball from Howard Tsumura and Chris Kennedy.
"That is a very good team, Six to Seven guys all have all have led this team in scoring throughout the year taking turns, it's a super deep team, one of the deepest Rainmaker teams .... always, always a tough team and it sounds like one of there better teams that they've brought down here for sure and they will go up against number 16 Samuel Robinson Technical in the first day"
The theme for the AA tournament for the two commentators that of who can try to topple the champion Charles Hays Rainmakers.
"So, there's our tournament draw for the 2A, you know when we look at that; it really is a question can anyone challenge Charles Hays, isn't it?
Yeah I think so, when you look at them what they've done and as you say where they sit if you put them in Triple or Quad A that's a team that's going to be provincially ranked.
I think King George on the other side has really become that consistent team every year that's ready to compete for a provincial championship, so if the two seeds play through we're going to have a great final on the Saturday."
The notes on the Charles Hays Rainmakers and the AA tourney start at 22 minute mark of the video presentation.
