Once it became his turned to order, the man produced a knife and took money from the register, before running out.

Mounties describe the suspect as:

An Indigenous male; approximately 5'8 (173 cm);

The RCMP note that this is the second Armed Robbery in the community in the last week, with the first taking place at the PJ's Midway on Sixth West on January 23rd.

"This is the second armed robbery to a business in Prince Rupert in less than a week. While I don't want to alarm the public, I want people to be vigilant about suspicious individuals or people displaying strange behaviour while frequenting local businesses.

We are investigating both incidents and we need help from the public to confirm the man's identity

Having good quality, functioning CCTV and calling the police as quickly as possible when a situation like this occurs is critical in helping us advance these investigations." --  Cst. Gabriel Gravel, Media Relations Officer for the Prince Rupert detachment.

Anyone with any information about this are asked to contact the Prince Rupert RCMP at 250-624-2136 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

  1. The public does not seem to be alarmed, residents seem quite content in making another appearance in the top ten most dangerous places in Canada.

    On top of this, is our NDP governments catch and release policy and the recent decriminalization of the personal use of heroin, meth, ecstasy, and cocaine.

    Rural BC communities will make the Mclean's list annually thanks to our governments policy decisions.
