Prince Rupert RCMP seek public assistance towards morning robbery on Sixth Ave West



A robbery this morning at a store located just blocks from the City's RCMP detachment and across the Street from Annunciation School has Mounties looking for help from the public.

In a statement issued earlier this afternoon the Prince Rupert RCMP outlined the nature of a robbery at Pa's Food Market in the 600 Block of Sixth Avenue West

The incident appears to have taken place after 9:45 this morning.


RCMP case file notes explain that a man had walked into the store and threatened staff with a weapon before taking off with a number of items.

The Suspect is described as having been wearing  a green and black jacket; Black pants;  A black toque; A black mask.

He also Had a black duffel bag with him.

"We are asking anyone with information in regards to the identity of this individual to come forward as this was an unprovoked act of violence toward an innocent worker. 

In addition to that, we are also asking anyone with dash camera footage, ring cameras or any other means of video in the area of the 600 block of 6th Ave W and Fulton St. between 9:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. to provide that to RCMP as it could be valuable to our investigation." -- Media Relations Officer Constable Brody Hemrich
