City of Prince Rupert looks to fill opening in planning department

The New Year is off to fast start for the Human Resources office at City Hall, with another new job posting for review for job seekers, this one in the City's Planning Department and a career posting for Junior Planner.

The Job opportunity was put up for consideration on Monday and outlines the range of skills and abilities required for the position, with the City seeking applicants with 1 to 5 years of experience.

With a new Official Community Plan in place since 2022, City Council members have been expressing much in the way of hope for future development of both the downtown area and for housing stock across the community.

Something which would add to the work for the city's planning department in the months and years ahead.

The Deadline for applications for this recruitment period is set for February 10th, or until the position is filled.
