North Coast artist Kelli Clifton gains new national acclaim with Canada Council Art Bank placement

Already acclaimed as one of the great new talents in the art world, a painting from Prince Rupert's Kelli Clifton has been acquired by the Canada Council of the Arts as part of an expansion of their Collection.

The purchase part of the Council's Art Bank's 50th anniversary celebrations.

Ms. Clifton's piece Gaksdanaa (Behold!) was created in 2020 

Her  work was one of 72 that were acquired as part of the celebration program.

We've made note of her works of art in the past, some of which can be found across the region on display, some like her mural work with the students of Conrad  School part of the growing number of public art projects in Prince Rupert.
