Prince Rupert Youth Soccer to put season on pause
With the 2020 soccer season almost ready for kick-off, the Prince Rupert Youth Soccer Association has put everything on hold.
In a post to their website on Friday, the PRYSA announced that they are following the lead of BC Soccer and suspending all sanctioned soccer activities. The advisory comes amid a number of other activities being suspended or cancelled as the nation begins to adjust to the new situation forced by the uncertainty of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Association announced the decision as they were conducting their online registration period for the 2020 season.
To this point, they are calling it a temporary suspension, with updates to come in the weeks/months to come.
You can review their statement here.
Updates to their plans moving forward can be found from the website or their Facebook page.
The PRYSA advisory is just one of a number that were delivered on Friday, you can review some of the other notes on the COVID-19 response here.
