Prince Rupert RCMP make arrests following East Side home invasion

The Prince Rupert RCMP have three in custody, following what they describe as a Home Invasion and assault in the 1500 Block of 8th Avenue East on February 28th.

Mounties were called to the east side residence at 12:30 AM and subsequently arrested a 20 year old man for multiple offences, including aggravated assault and break and enter. 

Two victims of the incident were taken to Prince Rupert Hospital  for treatment for injuries, a 45 year old male and his 42 year old male guest.

The Case file notes that Evidence collected during the investigation led to multiple search warrants being executed on homes in Prince Rupert. 

As a result firearms, ammunition, drugs, and money were seized along with bloody clothing and disguises used in the assault. 

As part of the investigation a 24 and 27 year old male were also arrested for aggravated assault and break and enter as a result of the search warrants being executed.

In their advisory the Prince Rupert RCMP note that they consider this to be a targeted crime and there is no risk to the safety of the public.
