While the 2021 Fishing season has already seen some significant closures put in place for those looking to harvest; there is still some fish making its way to the docks of the City.
And this week the Canadian Fish Plant on George Hills Way has been a fairly active spot.
A trip to the east side plant found both the Fish dock on the waterfront and the twin loading docks along the road both quite active as fish arrives and then seemingly departs for points south.

When it comes to the 2021 Fishing season, there was more bad news for fish workers in Prince Rupert with UNIFOR-UFAWU recently sharing word that DFO has closed the Nass Sockeye season and that for Area 8 Chums.
Though the labour union also has outlined some job opportunities to be had with the Lax Kw'alaams Fish Plant which is currently hiring full time, year round workers.
