Prince Rupert Regional Community Foundation to host AGM July 27th

After a year of virtual gatherings, one of the first opportunities for Prince Rupert residents to gather in a public setting comes up on later this month, as the Prince Rupert Regional Community Foundation hosts its Annual General Meeting.

The event which offers the chance for residents to learn more about the Foundation takes place Tuesday July 27th at 7PM hosted at the Prince Rupert Library on Sixth Avenue West,  the session one which will highlight some of the work of the last year, as well as to outline what plans the foundation has for the year ahead.

The foundation was first formed in 2001 and since then has been committed to working with other agencies, foundations and organizations to increase the level of charitable work in the communities of the North Coast.

Whether through grant opportunities, or high profile fund raising events, the Foundation has quickly found its place in the community and rallied many to lend a hand with their work.

Earlier this year we noted of some of the more recent funding provided by the group, through their Social media feed they also outline funding for Prince Rupert Ground Search and Rescue, Prince Rupert Special Events and a golf program for SD52.

Some of the other funding provided in previous years included:

March 2017 -- Local community organization offers two funding opportunities for North Coast residents
March 2016 -- Application deadline for community Foundation Grants coming up fast
February 2014 -- Community Foundation puts finishing touches on Celebrity Dinner fundraiser

More background on some of their work in the community can be found from their website and Social media page.

For those that may not wish to join the Foundation, but still wish to help out with a financial donation, you can become a "Friend of the Prince Rupert Regional Community Foundation", more on the list of options towards a contribution to their work can be found here.
