The program hosted by Thunder Rugby Canada will feature professional players and coaches on hand to expand on some local initiatives in recent months to help build the sport in the region.
The two day camp is free, but participants must be registered with BC Rugby for insurance purposes at a cost of 23 dollars.
With Thunder Rugby's participation, Indigenous youth can access the program and have that registration fee covered, though they will require a code to do so, you can learn more about that by contacting the program at jlyall@thunderrugby.ca
The July camp is open to all boys and girls and you can learn more about how to register here.
More background on the Prince Rupert Youth Rugby Program can be explored from their Facebook Page, you can contact program officials through that page if you have any questions about the upcoming camp or the program.
As we outlined in the Spring, the Youth program in the city launched in May with sessions running through to the start of July.
