Nisga'a Nation provides update for members on KSI Lisims LNG plans

A terminal location just west of Gingolx is the proposed
site for the next potential LNG development for the region

The latest proposal for an LNG development in the Northwest has been making some news in recent days, with the Nisga'a led KSI LNG project providing a review for the Terrace City Council as well as a just released information program for members of the Nisga'a Nation.

In a letter to members posted yesterday to the Nisga'a Lisims Government website, President Eva Clayton outlined the progress of the proposed project to date, which now moves towards a more public engagement theme.

That engagement will ramp up significantly once the project is listed with the BC Environmental Assessment Office.

Some of that engagement appears to already be unofficially underway, with a few comments to reflect the community interest making their way to the Nisga'a Lisims Facebook page.

We took our first look at the Nisga'a plans back in March when the development was first introduced.

Some of the media review of the presentation of the project to the Terrace City Council can be viewed as part of our archive on the proposed project here.
