Some faces fade from view; while a familiar voice returns to Bell Media in Terrace

A reunion of sorts for CFTK TV with John Crawford
coming out of retirement to return to the morning radio news flow

The news business in Terrace has seen some changes once again, with a pair of TV journalists seemingly fading from the nightly newscast, while a familiar voice has returned to the morning airwaves.

Viewers of the TV7 news programs of the evening hours probably have noticed that both Hillary Johnson and Cole Promane have not contributed to stations newscasts in recent weeks.

In the case of Ms. Johnson, the former news presenter has found her way to the nation's public broadcaster earlier this month taking on the position as producer with the CBC.

That has left Prince Rupert based reporter Joshua Azizi to carry much of the TV7 reporting load, though spread around the region as he has been, the volume of local Prince Rupert stories have been in decline through much of the last few weeks.

While they sort our their reporting options an assignments, Bell Media is also currently seeking a News Director for their Northwest Operations, a position that was posted in June and still is listed on the Bell Media Jobs board

While change is in. the air for the TV station, Bell Media did welcome back long time broadcaster John Crawford, who appears to be lending a hand during these summer months hosting the morning news once again on all of the Northwest radio broadcasts.

Mr. Crawford had announced his retirement in September, so hopefully his sleep patterns are still in sync with the early morning rise rituals of morning broadcasters.
