Full weekend of activity for Rainmaker Sports

Charles Hays athletes were a busy bunch over the weekend, with the Senior Girls Soccer squad hosting a Saturday play day, as challengers from Terrace and Kitimat took to the CHSS pitch for a string of games through the day.

The home side came out on the short side of two hard fought contests, taking on Caledonia in less than kind weather conditions on Saturday morning, falling to the Terrace squad by a score of 2-0.

The Rainmakers wrapped up their Saturday play with a 1 PM match up with Mount Elizabeth, a game played under slightly better weather than the morning match, with the Kitimat squad claiming the victory by a score of 2-1.

The CHSS Sports Twitter feed provided a short sample of some of the action from Saturday with a short video presentation posted to their site on Monday.

Though don't let the sunny skies fool you, the Saturday play day featured pretty well every weather system that could be put in place to challenge the players.

The Charles Hays Rugby Squad in the meantime was down Kamloops way, taking part in the Kamloops Rugby Fest.

The Rugby players headed for home from the Kamloops event with a 2 and 1 record on the weekend.

Saturday -- Salmon Arm 14 -- Rainmakers 9
Saturday -- Rainmakers 7 -- Maple Ridge 5
Friday -- Rainmakers 20 -- Houston 5

Background on that event can be found below.
