The Ministry of Transportation continues to add to its video options for travellers of Highway 16 adding what is now the fourth highway camera between Prince Rupert and Terrace.
This morning Drive BC debuted the Rainbow Summit Highway camera, which provides a snapshot of conditions on that stretch to the highway east of Prince Rupert.
The Rainbow Summit monitoring station joins similar access points located at the Port Edward Turnoff, Kwinitsa and Kasiks.
The Kwinitsa camera only began service in March, offering a helpful review of a stretch of highway adjacent the Skeena River.
In addition to the newest additions to the camera options, the Port Edward Highway camera now offers a view from three directions, East, West and South.
The latest additions will provide a valuable planning resource for east or west bound travellers between the two communities.
You can access Drive BC information from their website and the DriveBC NW twitter feed.
