Sailing Delay puts Northern Adventure behind schedule on Haida Gwaii run

More travel delays for those transiting between Prince Rupert and Haida Gwaii, after a suspension of service over the busy BC Day long weekend, travellers booked on this morning's sailing of the Northern Adventure were put behind schedule owing to some required paper work.

The sailing was held in port in Prince Rupert after the passenger manifest provided to the crew did not match up with the terminal count requiring a review until the proper amount had been determined.

BC Ferries outlined it's latest travel alert through their Service Notices page

With the delay, the revised arrival time for travellers to Haida Gwaii is now 3:15 PM

Today's issue came up on the first day of resumption of service to Haida Gwaii out of the Fairview Terminal.

As we outlined over the weekend, engine woes for the Northern Expedition resulted in BC Ferries pulling the Northern Adventure off of its regular service to Haida Gwaii.

As a result, the vessel called into emergency duty on the Southern route to Bella Bella and Klemtu.
