Suddenly, the streets of Prince Rupert are coming alive in the downtown core, with two events in the next week to bring people out off the sidewalks.
Yesterday we made note of plans for Pop Up Prince Rupert, an event scheduled for August 24th along the 500 block of Third Avenue West.
One day later, the crowd can head two blocks over and one block to the south as Fraser Street hosts its annual Block Party, closing off the stretch near the Friendship House for a four hour festival of fun for the whole family.
The event which features games, food, music and activities for the youngsters is set to take place on Saturday August 25th from 11 AM to 3 PM.
This years Block Party will also help celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of the Friendship House in Prince Rupert.
