The waning days of August bring out the end of Summer festivals and next week one of the more popular stops on the Northwest Calendar takes place with the Bulkley Valley Exhibition which runs from August 23rd to 26th at the Bulkley Valley Exhibition grounds in Smithers.
The 99th edition of the Northwest favourite will feature four days of Rodeo, Concerts on the Mains stage every night and a range of activities, games of chance and thrills of the midway.
One Day admission fees are 15 dollars for Adults, Seniors/Youth --10 dollars, Children 4 to 12 -- 4 dollars, children under four get in for free.
Weekend Admission is 40 dollars for Adults, 25 dollars for Seniors and Youth, 12 dollars for Children 4 to 12, children under four get in for free.
The weekend of fun gets underway Wednesday night with the Fall Fair Parade, this years theme is "From Wagon Wheel to Ferris Wheels - 99 years at the BVX"
Music on the Main Stage will be headlined this year by Friday night's appearance of the Chris Buck Band
The Bulkley Valley's own Mark Perry and the Northwest hold down the Main Stage showcase on Saturday evening.
Logger competitions, Livestock events, Rodeo, Kids Events and the Canine Stars, also make for a busy calendar for the four days of Exhibition.
In addition to the collection of rides on the midway, the Exhibition also features an extensive vendors area where you can explore some of the good and services on the Fairgrounds as well as learn more about Smithers organizations and groups.
