Northern Health to seek conversation on Heart Health services in Northwest

Northern Health has launched an extensive community engagement process across the Northwest, seeking to spark some conversation on the current level of heart health services across the Northern Health service region and to learn more about what residents believe is working well , and what could be done better at the moment, as well as some thoughts on what we would like to see in the future.

The Heart Health Community Consultation comes to Prince Rupert on Wednesday, October 17th, from 7 to 9 PM at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre, offering an opportunity for residents of the area to ask questions, share views and experiences about heart health initiatives on the North Coast and to hear from others about their experiences.

No registration is required for the community engagement session, and refreshments will be provided as part of the two hour presentation.

Northern Health will be hearing Heart Health community forum on
October 17th, the event which is free and does not require registration
will take place at the Prince Rupert Civic Centre

In addition to the Prince Rupert visit, those on the North Coast can contribute to the discussion through the Northern Health Thought Exchange process, where they can log on and relay their thoughts and suggestions on line.

You can learn more about the Thought Exchange  process here.

More background on the consultation tour across Northern BC can be reviewed here.

The tour has already made it's way through the Bulkley and Skeena Valleys, with stops in Smithers, Terrace, Hazelton and Kitimat through the month of September.

Prior to their trip to Prince Rupert on the 17th, there will be community sessions on Haida Gwaii, with stops in the Village of Queen Charlotte on the 15th, and Messet on the 16th.
