Celebrants of the Hallowe'en season have one more item to add to their list of events to take in, with the Lester Centre of the Arts announcing its plans to bring a Late Night showing of the cult movie classic Rocky Horror Picture show to the Arts Centre on Tuesday, October 30th.
The 10 PM showing will present the 1975 musical/science fiction feature that has become an all time favourite, owing to the opportunity it presents for audience participation, with many of those that go showings almost pitch perfect in their reproduction of the dialogue and songs.
"We're excited to add this event to Prince Rupert's lineup of popular Hallowe'en traditions," ... At the Lester Centre, we are committed to the celebration of diverse forms of art and expression. And there are few works on film that more enthusiastically exult in diverse forms of expression than Rocky Horror." --Michael Gurney, General Manager of the Lester Centre.
As is the case in other communities, the Lester Centre is encouraging the audience to attend in costume and bring their own props for the full audience participation experience.
