Prince Rupert Yacht Club project nearing its final stages

Much of the work on the new Prince Rupert Yacht Club facility is
complete, as the project shifts focus from the structure to the amenities

The pace of construction for the new Yacht Club building may have taken a bit of a meandering path, but if you've been around the Cow Bay waterfront in recent days, you probably have noticed that things are looking pretty good for the new facility overlooking the marina area.

The  structure makes for a striking visual as it keeps watch over the harbour and if you look closely to the photo above, you can see that atop the building is what appears to be the start of the placement of the much anticipated lighthouse like light that is to be the beacon to Cow Bay for mariners and residents alike.

As the work looks to be heading towards its home stretch, the finished product appears to have remained pretty faithful to the blue prints of a few years ago.

Though there still appear to be some items on the to do list including:  the topping off of the lighthouse feature, demolition of the existing facility, landscaping and parking space work to be done before the new building can officially showcase the new focal point for the Cow Bay area.
