Prince Rupert Businesses do the Cow Bay Shuffle

Northern Industrial Sales and the Third Avenue Coffee Shop
have both changed locations in the city in recent days

More change to the city's commercial scene, with a pair of businesses relocating over the Thanksgiving period, making for more movement into the Cow Bay area of town.

Northern Industrial Sales has shifted its operations from the Third Avenue East area across from Entire and Panago Pizza, taking over the George Hills Way location which previously housed the city's Acklands store which closed earlier this year.

The new location provides NIS with a larger retail display area to help supply the region's growing Industrial options, most of which are port driven at the moment.

Moving from west side to the east side of McBride is the Third Avenue Coffee Shop which has left its previous location across from Save On Foods, to take up the former NIS location beside Rupert Meats, part of the gateway into the city's Cow Bay District.

The shift will put it closer to the city's tourist area, as well as to increase the amount of traffic passing by that is exploring the growing retail opportunities found just up from the Atlin Terminal on the waterfront.

The departure from Third Avenue West, adds yet another empty storefront to
the area of downtown west of Fulton street

The shift however, does highlight the growing migration away from what was once considered the city's thriving downtown core, the empty storefront just the latest to dot the landscape from Fulton to the west.
