Nation2Nation Forum returns to Terrace in November

The next gathering of First Nations, government industry and community leaders as part of the Nation2Nation initiative is set for next week, with Terrace once again the host community for two days of discussion on partnership in resource and industrial development in First Nations territories.

Set for the Terrace Sportsplex on November 1st and 2nd, the event features workshops and forums on a range of topics, the admission for participants ranges from 150 to just under 400 dollars, details and more background on the ticket program can be found here.

Among some of the themes for the two days in Terrace:

Panel Discussion on the Next Steps for Positive Long Term Benefit for the Northwest

Industry Training Labour and Workforce Development

Implementing Impact Benefit Agreements around contracting, Employment and Workplace matters

Natural Resources in the Global Context

The Power of Collaboration and Win/Win Partnerships

There are also a number of Keynote speakers planned throughout the morning and afternoon sessions each day, included on the list:

Chief Clarence Louie -- Osoyoos Indian Band

Chief Jim Boucher -- Fort McKay First Nation

Bryan Cox -- CEO Mining Association of British Columbia

Maynard Angus -- Manager Indigenous Relations with the Port of Prince Rupert

The Provincial Government will also be sending a representative to the event (not named as of yet), providing for the closing Keynote address at the end of day two.
