Prince Rupert Library makeover continues

The painting work continues at the Prince Rupert Library

While the doors remain closed to patrons as we move into July, once they open the Prince Rupert Library will have a fresh new look to take in as a bit of painting continues at the 6th Avenue West location.

We first made note of the makeover plans in May, that as Northern Savings Credit Union provided for the funding for the new coat of paint for the exterior, the Library choosing a purple hue to greet visitors.

As for Library operations, there has still been no decision made it seems about any reopening of the  library for full public use, though they continue to offer a range of services to keep the public engaged.

Library patrons can still email in requests for books and take advantage of the curb side pick up program, while the Return bin on the outside continues in operation.

They also offer a range of programs through their Facebook page, the latest a Kids Corner Facebook group.

You can learn more about that initiative here.
