Bring your own mask time for the Metlakatla Ferry Service

The Metlakatla First Nation has put forward an advisory for those who travel with the Metlakatla Ferry, reminding passengers that they are now responsible for providing for their own masks when they board the vessel.

The service which continues to run Monday to Friday requires passengers to wear a mask during the transit to and from Prince Rupert, it currently makes the crossing with a maximum of eight passengers per trip.

As for the community measures currently in place, Metlakatla officials remind the pubic that non members and non-staff are not permitted to enter the community without Council approval, as well as to advise that the Band Office will remain closed to the public until further notice.

Metlakatla began to loosen some of their COVID restrictions in early June.

You can keep up to date with the latest measures from the First Nation through their Facebook page and website.
