City Hall on the search for a detachment clerk for local RCMP

The City of Prince Rupert is looking for a clerk for the RCMP

The City of Prince Rupert is once again looking to add to the hiring lists, this time in a quest for a casual clerk for the city's RCMP detachment.

The position posted this week is designed to provide for holiday and sick time coverage for full time civic employees at the Sixth Avenue West police station.

In their job prospectus, the city notes that: The successful applicant will have a professional attitude, a sound knowledge of administrative functions and possess the ability to work and prioritize in a busy environment. They must be detail-oriented and be able to anticipate upcoming needs and take appropriate action on their own initiative.

The position at the detachment makes for the latest civic job opportunity to come forward in 2020,  a trend that had been prominent even before the COVID-19 pandemic all but suspended hiring for much of the last few months.

Details on the latest position can be viewed here, the deadline for applications is August 10th.
