Dark Night ahead for Lax Kw'alaams with Power outage expected to last until Thursday

The Community of Lax Kw'alaams is in the dark tonight following
the Wednesday wind storm in the region

While Today's WIND WARNING is now at an end, the impact of the high winds of Wednesday will be felt into the overnight period for Lax Kw'alaams.

BC Hydro relayed details of a Power Outage for the Community North of Prince Rupert with the first reports of the power outage coming in during the afternoon, with BC Hydro posting their report on the situation at 5PM.

Owing to access challenges for the Crew Assigned to the outage, it's not expected that the community will be returned to power until sometime on Thursday, with work set to begin at 10AM.
