Wind Warning in place, Rain on the way for North Coast, Haida Gwaii

An energetic Pacific front is on the way and with it
will come strong winds and heavy rains for the next few days

Another fast moving pacific front is coming the way of both the North Coast and Haida Gwaii and as a result, Environment Canada has issued a WIND WARNING for tomorrow.

Ahead of the front, southeast winds of 70 to 90 km/h will develop over Haida Gwaii overnight tonight and spread to the North Coast Wednesday morning. 

Winds will ease midday Wednesday across Haida Gwaii and in the evening over the North Coast.

Along with the winds will come four days of Rain taking us through to Christmas and Boxing Days.

Wednesday will see the heaviest precipitation with up to 50mm, with 35mm expected on Thursday, Friday and Saturday will see much lesser amounts or rain though Saturday offers a potential for 1 cm of snow.



The Marine Forecast features a STORM WARNING issued today with Winds gradually increasing to 50 knots after minding, diminishing through Wednesday though maintaining 40 knots near the mainland on Wednesday evening. Seas will build to Five Metres at the height of the storm on Wednesday morning.
