Prince Rupert RCMP investigate suspicious death on City's east side


The Prince Rupert RCMP are on the scene of a residence on the city's east side as part of an investigation into a suspicious death.

In a report from the Prince Rupert detachment, the RCMP outline the background of a call for assistance  at 2:37 PM of December 24th from BC Ambulance of a death of a 28 year old male at the residence in the 1400 block of 7th Avenue East.


Mounties are currently on the scene of the death, with investigators and crime scene workers expected to be at the residence for the next couple of days.

The RCMP advise that there is no threat to the public, however the RCMP is requesting that if you have information related to anything suspicious in the 1400 block of Seventh East at the time in question, to contact the local detachment at 250-627-0700 or through Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477
