Work on the Rushbrook Dock to close Boat Launch for a week starting tomorrow

Some maintenance work on the Rushbrook Docking infrastructure will see the east end Boat Ramp facility closed to the public for a week starting tomorrow, December 9th.

Work on the adjoining Rushbrook Dock means a closure for the
Boat ramp starting December 9th

In a short note, posted today to the City of Prince Rupert Facebook page, the city advises that the one week closure is required to enable replacement of critical docking infrastructure. There are no details related to the scope of the work, it's cost, or who will be taking on the project.

The Dock and Boat Ramp is a popular recreation and commercial boating facility and serves as the stage for the annual Polar Bear Swim in the community every January 1st.
