Television viewers on the west side of Prince Rupert were looking for new activities on Thursday that after a fibre cut near the Fairview Bay Ferry Terminal interrupted service.
CityWest had been alerted to the situation and sent crews to investigate late Thursday morning and provided updates to their customers through the afternoon. The location of the incident initially provided for a few safety challenges towards accessing the site of the fibre cut
By 2PM the communication company had restored service to the majority of those who had been impacted by the outage. With only a few customers remaining off line.
