We have a ways to go yet towards being allowed to gather in large numbers, but should our efforts towards COVID-19 deliver positive results and a relaxation of the rules on public gathering, this summer could bring a highly anticipated event to the Northwest!

The Royal Canadian Air Force's Demonstration Squadron the Snowbirds have pencilled Terrace in for a show in July, with the skies over the Skeena Valley to be the backdrop of their famed show on July 21st.

The RCAF Announced the schedule today, with the Terrace stop one of  twenty eight dates on the 2021 showcase listings.

Terrace made the successful pitch for a Snowbirds return last year, with the performance planned as part of a Northwest Regional Airshow, which would have a range of other activities surrounding the aerial aerobatics.

Prince Rupert residents still recall the last appearance on the North Coast, a spectacular show in 2013 that used the Prince Rupert harbour as the backdrop for the mastery of the skies that the highly regarded air unit provides.

The plans for Terrace are subject to change however, with any decision dependent on the state of affairs related to COVID as we head through the summer of 2021.
