With doors reopened to the public Prince Rupert Library returns to regular hours

The aisles upon aisles of books are open for browsing once again, as the Prince Rupert Library returns to full service at the Sixth Avenue West Home for reading.

The return of full access comes following a significant period of reduced services as the COVID situation continued to travel the city in the last few months, the Library one of the first of the public facilities in early March to close its doors to the public or to offer alternative services during the period.

There are still some precautions for patrons to observe however as the doors reopen, included on the list are:

Patrons are reminded that we are still required to wear a mask (unless medically exempt), wash hands or hand sanitize at entrance and keep your distance (6-feet) from others.

As well, for the time being, our visits to the library will be for a Half-hour period at a time and 10 people maximum (not including staff) can be in the building at any one time.

The Library also reminds us that  Curbside Pickup and Grab Bag requests are still available for those who'd like to keep using these services.

You can learn more by contacting the Library at 250-627-1345 or by email at circulation@princerupertlibrary.ca

You can find out what's new from the Prince Rupert Library's Facebook page.
