Family of Missing Masset woman makes plea for information, as one year mark passes since her disappearance

Masset RCMP continue
to seek the whereabouts
of Shaylana Lewis
It has been just over a year now that Shaylanna Lewis was reported missing by her family in Masset on Haida Gwaii.

And as that anniversary passes, the family has issued a plea for information for anyone who may have information towards the ongoing investigation to contact Police.

The RCMP relayed the family's call for help last Friday, as well as some notes on the status of the investigation to date.

On the evening of March 21, 2020, Shaylanna was reported missing to the Masset RCMP by her mother when she failed to return home as expected and didn’t appear to have taken any of her belongings, including her cell phone with her.

Through investigation, RCMP have determined a witness may have seen Shaylanna at approximately 5:15 p.m. on March 21, walking along the south side of the highway near Masset. She has not been seen since.

Since the last witness sighting, police have been unable to substantiate any other tips of possible sightings and have no new leads as to her whereabouts.

The family's statement calling for assistance can be reviewed below:
