An often heard call for more air monitoring in the District of Port Edward has been heard, with the District and Prince Rupert Port Authority sharing the details of the plan to install a monitoring structure in the community.

The District confirmed the progress on the plan through their Social Media feed, with the site that has been selected that of Sunset Drive, near the Skateboard Park.

The background for the proposed structure was included as part of the Agenda Package from the March 23rd Council session.

As they noted in their update for the community, the District will be confirming the timeline towards construction of the monitoring station in the near future.
