This having been a City Council week, four of our five most read stories are related to items we highlighted from our Council coverage.
From garbage, to Food Security and backyard chickens, to the seemingly ever present smell of growing cannabis around the city, those themes and more were up for review on the week.
News from the British Columbia Centre for Disease control was the only item of note that stepped in front of a City Council sweep, as the latest COVID date for the Prince Rupert area provided for the first bit of optimism that we may be turning the tide of the last four months of concerning numbers.
However Council controlled the spotlight, with garbage and recycling and the city's ambitious plan for the summer the one story that caught the most attention on the week.

Food Security, Urban Farming and Backyard Chickens themes gained much attention from Public Hearing on future community plans -- The three topics gained much attention from Council from both the Public Hearing and Regular Council session and our review of the discussion found a large audience this week, with a large volume of readers seeking to explore the issues further it appeared.
