The Best Western hotel chain is expanding its footprint in Northern BC rebranding Prestige hotels in Smithers (above) and in Prince George as BW Premier Collection locations |
The ever changing hotel industry in British Columbia is about to see a subtle shift in Northern British Columbia, with the Prestige Hotel Group rebranding two of their three properties in the north under the Best Western name.
While the travel industry may still be facing challenges through COVID, hopes of a return to more normal times and the last mentions of Travel restrictions are not too far away industry officials hope; the restrictions of today to be replaced soon by a welcoming approach to visitors.
And when the travelling public does begin to book their vacations again, the global reach of the Best Western name will take them to Smithers and Prince George.
Both hotel properties are now listed in the Best Western listings, something which should increase patronage from travellers familiar with the Best Western name and image world wide.
The rebranding has also extended to many other Prestige hotels in the Okanagan and Kootenay region.
According to the Best Western website, the BW Premier Collection is described as follows:
BW Premier Collection® by Best Western is our most exclusive collection of carefully-curated hotels, offering today's traveler an inspired experience in luxury with hotels that are eclectic and original. The Prestige Hotel Prince Rupert (From Trip Adviser) |
So far there is no indication if Prince Rupert's Prestige Hotel will also be part of the Best Western family, at this point the 6th Street location is not presently offered through the Best Western reservation platform.
