Port Edward Volunteer Fire Rescue called into service on recent Highway 16 fire incident

Members of the Port Edward Volunteer Fire Rescue service hit the highway last week, called out to a Friday afternoon highway incident which saw a commercial logging truck catch fire.

In a post to their social media stream the Port Edward department outlined the work that was required to bring the fire under control.


The Highway had been closed on Friday during the period of the fire and the required clean up afterwards.
