A violent incident over one year ago which resulted in a tragic fatality at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital, made for the story that captured the most attention this week, as we outlined the background to a Vancouver Sun article published this week.
The Hospital featured in another story which gained some significant interest as well, that one highlighting the latest fundraising success for the North Coast Health Improvement Society which teamed up with the Prince Rupert Port Authority and other partners for a bed replacement project.
The RCMP had a busy week on the North Coast, with a pair of stories of note from the last seven days gaining attention, one was their attendance to a tragic incident on the highway which claimed the life of a young woman from the community, as well as our notes on their investigation into the latest armed robbery in the city.
Municipal politics also featured in the listings of our top five, with a Shared Prosperity Agreement completed between the City of Prince Rupert and the District of Port Edward.

Prince Rupert RCMP seek assistance of public in armed robbery from January 29 -- The Prince Rupert detachment of the RCMP has its second armed robbery in a week to investigate, with Mounties looking for information related to a robbery last weekend at McDonalds.
