Filling open positions in Prince Rupert has been a focus for SD52 over the summer |
As Educators, Parents and Students prepare for the start of school in September, the Board of Education in Prince Rupert has been looking to attract educators to the community, and towards looking to fill open positions they have offered up a 5,000 dollar hiring incentive as a signing bonus for qualified teachers.
The financial add-on was noted through the SD52 Social Media stream earlier this month with resumes directed to the Human Resources Department at the School Board offices.
The SD 52 employment page provides a bit more background on their search for employees or the opportunity for current staff to apply for openings.
A look at the Make A Future Employment listings indicates that as they started their recruitment drive, there were 38 open positions listed as available in the Prince Rupert School District.
Things have been fairly quiet on the communication scene from the School District over the summer, with few dispatches from the Board Office. So an update on what level of success that they have had this month in the recruitment drive is still unknown.
Schools across the District Open for the 2023-24 School year on September 5, with classes to resume of September 6th.
