Travellers from Skidegate to Prince Rupert aboard the BC Ferries vessel Northern Adventure were left to cool their heels for a few hours today as the vessel's crew addressed some mechanical issues with ferry.
The result of the delay was a hold of over five hours before the service resumed out of Skidegate this afternoon.
The vessel is currently making its way across Hecate Strait for the Fairview Bay terminal.
The Northern Service has fared somewhat better than that of the south this summer, with fewer sailing interruptions in what has been a challenging summer season for BC Ferries.
Follow their service notices page for updates on the service to the North Coast, Haida Gwaii and points south.
