As summer winds its way to end, the Northwest gathers in Smithers for the Bulkley Valley Exhibition through to Sunday

It's a sure sign that summer is coming to a close and school is set to start up again, with Smithers hosting one of the final events for August in the Bulkley Valley Fair.

The popular Northwest event brings in the crowds from across the region and there's  a good chance you'll be running into some Rupertites should you be making the four hour drive eastbound to take in the final few days of the Exhibition.

This year marks the 104th edition of the Exhibition and things got underway on Wednesday with the annual parade, an event chronicled well by Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Taylor Bachrach.

A very busy of main events launched on Thursday.

You can plan out your travels around the Exhibition Grounds from the list of attractions available here, along with the program and schedule of events available here.

Among some of the key areas for the Fair are those of Agriculture and 4H events which continue through the event.

As well the weekend features some Rodeo, offering a chance to check out some of the skilled participants in a range of events.

The weekend is one with much entertainment to take including headliner Aaron Pritchett closing the show tonight and Mark Perry and Band set for the Saturday night finale.

Learn more about the event from the Bulkley Valley Exhibition from their website and Social Media Stream.
