If you left the house before 9 AM and only now are getting home, you may find that there are some electronic items to tend to.
As had been announced a few week ago, BC Hydro shut down the electricity to much of the city's east side as well as Metlakatla, Lax Kw'alaams and other communities, that as they conducted some planned maintenance and pole replacement in the region.
The lights went out at 8:47AM and as the day moved forward the work required a bit of extra time, with power not restored until 4:15 PM

As we outlined yesterday, BC Hydro had notified residents of the area to be affected with a preview of their work by way of a household mail campaign.
