Prince Rupert's newest lounge opens its doors on Fraser Street

Port City Spirits on Fraser Street is now open for business

It's been somewhat of a low-key launch, but Port City Spirits, the craft distillery on Fraser Street opened it's doors to the public over the past weekend, the occasion noted through the Port City Spirits Social Media stream.

The project which was delayed a bit for a range of reasons, gained its final approval from City Council in mid June, that following a number of Council sessions where the project heard from both supporters and detractors.

With the licensing issues addressed,  the finishing touches both Inside and out were completed, with the new venue now featuring a striking black street front with a Brass Door and a plaque highlighting the home of "The Distillery".

The Social Media page for the newest establishment in the downtown core, doesn't yet list the hours of operation following the soft launch of the weekend, though it does provided a sample of what's available inside the doors when the Distillery is Open.

The opening from Friday and Saturday did deliver some positive reviews from those that did pop in for a look around the new digs on Fraser Street.

From their Social Media Stream, you can check out some of the Port City Spirits photo collection of the work that went into the push to open as well as to follow for any updates on their plans as they move into a more fulsome schedule for patrons to take note of.
