ANBT Send Four to the Hall of Fame in Tuesday night ceremony

The sound of Drums heralded the appointment of four new members for the All Native Basketball Tournament Hall of Fame.

The Tuesday night ceremony at the Russell Gamble Gymnasium began with drumming and shifted to the telling  of the stories of four prominent architects for the tournament that thousands have taken in this week in Prince Rupert.

The ceremony which took place at Centre Court at 7:30 paid tribute to two players Justin Adams Aiyansh, Devin Edenshaw Hydaburg AK.

Also honoured from Coaching was Malcolm Sampson Lax Kw'alaams, along with Builder Thomas McKay Kitkatla- Lax Kw'alaams

Each was profiled as part of the ceremony, surrounded by family, friends and former teammates in some instances.

The short presentations to each highlighted the roles they have played in building the tournament along with the success through the years for those who played on the court.

The All Native Basketball Tournament has been adding a large volume of photos from the tournament to their Social Media page each day.

Following them here, likely will bring some snapshots of the Hall of Fame moments from Tuesday.

Video of the Hall of Fame induction ceremony is available on the CFNR Tournament page.
